Free at last You're on your own
and ready to live again
700lbs of screaming chrome
Wreathed in crimson flames
Riding out of hell You scream
I will not be denied
Try to get the life back
Who you were before you died
Is it my time?
Who am I?
The phoenix rising again
Back from the dead
Climbed back out of my grave
Now I'm ready to fly
With a heart full of metal
Time to make my mark
Put the pedal - to the devil
And when I hear the angels cry,
As I scream back into life,
From the rising to the setting sun,
I soar across the sky
Perhaps this time I will succeed,
Or am I doomed to fail
Break the barriers of life
And rule as a god beyond the pale
The phoenix rising again
Back from the dead
Climbed back out of my grave
Now I'm ready to fly
With a heart full of metal
Time to make my mark
Put the pedal - to the devil
The phoenix rising again
Back from the dead
Climbed back out of my grave
Now I'm ready to fly
With a heart full of metal
Time to make my mark
Put the pedal - to the devil

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli
