Shipwrecked on the shores of the new world.
No star to follow, no direction
Twenty-twenty vision with no correction.
Offer a prayer up to your maker
But save some money for the undertaker
And in your final moments when you're all alone,
You call out to god but get his answerphone.
Climbing up the ladder to the top
But the higher you get, the weaker your grip
They're greasing up the rungs in the hope you slip.
And if you're gonna fall it's a long way down
You fell so hard you hit another town
Here's another lesson you think we'd learn
When we play with fire, we all burn.
Save Our Souls!
The idiot prayer of a fool!
Save Our Souls
Nobody will save your soul but you!
The distant sound of thunder in your ear
Not the son of God, or the son of Odin,
Just a pretty picture to hide your loathing.
"He has a plan for us all" you say
Loves all his children, unless they're poor or gay.
And a million dead babies is the price we payYour god wants you to die of AIDS
Save Our Souls!
The idiot prayer of a fool!
Save Our Souls
Nobody will save your soul but you!
Cross my heart and hope to die
The bible is a blood-soaked book of lies
To absolve them of the things they do
And take your power away from you
They tell you black is really white
The moon is just the sun at night
And when you walk in golden halls
You get to keep the gold that falls
Save Our Souls
Nobody will save your soul but you!
Save Our Souls
Nobody will save your soul but you!

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli
